the Director of Education and Co-founder of N.I.T.E.,
has a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan
University and a Doctor of Naturopathy. Her areas of interest
include Iridology, Sclerology, Kinesiology, Nutrition,
Herbology, Homeopathy, Essential Oils, and Meridian Body Work.
Drawing on her more than 20 years of experience in the field,
Bessheen is in high demand as a Motivational Speaker and has
spoken throughout the country on natural health. She brings a
lot of energy and humor into the classroom and always finds a
way to fit more into your brain than you thought possible!

JIM BAKER, M.T.,
co-founder of N.I.T.E., is a Graduate Massage
Therapist and a Certified Natural Health Professional. Jim’s
areas of stud y include Myo-Fascia Release, Equine Sports
Massage, Muscle Energy Correction Techniques, Herbology, Fitness
Training, Kinesiology, and Light Touch Therapy. Jim’s passion
and excitement for his classes are evident in his teaching, for
he has great command of his subject matter and mixes it well
with real life examples and humor. Jim's classes are fast-paced
with plenty of information. Be prepared to take notes!

BETH
BAILEY BARBEAU, T.M., M.C.E.,
is a Traditional Midwife, Master Childbirth Educator
and Resonance Repatterning Practitioner with a Bachelor
of Science degree from Antioch College. Beth's passion
for birth spans nearly 30 years, and includes midwifing
homebirths, attending hospital births in the role
of doula and monitrice, and teaching at all levels,
from college students to expectant parents and medical
professionals, on related topics including infant
care and breastfeeding. Beth
brings her wonderfully engaging and lively teaching
style to the Magic and Anatomy of Birth I &
II.

MARY
BOOMS, M.T.,
N.H.E., graduated from the Naturopathic Institute's Therapeutic
Bodywork Practitioner Program, Natural Health
Educator Program and Central Michigan
University, majoring in Entrepreneurship and minoring in
Personal and Community Health. Mary specializes in Hot
Stone, Deep Tissue, and Lymphatic Massage. She loves
working with students to answer their questions and develop
their individuality in the practice of massage therapy.

KATHRYN
DORAN-FISHER, N.D.,
graduated
from the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and
Education as a Certified Naturopath shortly after
daughter, Arianwen was born at home. Kathryn draws
on her experience of raising a "naturopathic
family" as well as her Holistic Labor Companion services for the
Conception, Childbirth and Childhood class. Also
the instructor for Biology and co-instructor for
the Live Food and Healthy Eating course; her
extensive knowledge of nutrition
combined with enthusiastic researching skills will
help you to see the extent of how modern lifestyles
are affecting us, our children and our grandchildren.

JACKIE FEATHERLY, DIHOM, C.N.,
graduated from the prestigious British Institute of
Homeopathy in Canada, in 1998, is a Fellow of the British
Institute of Homeopathy, and is presently doing post grad
studies. Jackie received her certificate in homeopathy from the
National Center for Homeopathy at Johns Hopkins University in
1996. She is also a graduate of N.I.T.E. as a Certified
Naturopath, 2002. Jackie has taught study groups for the
National Center for Homeopathy since 1988. She has used
homeopathy and studied with world-famous homeopaths for 26
years. She delivers a wealth of information in a systematic way
to help students use homeopathy to combat acute and chronic
problems—intensive, but fun!

NANCY FODOR, C.N.,
graduated from N.I.T.E. with a diploma as a Certified
Naturopath. She is also a Certified Natural Health Practitioner
who has over 20 years experience in natural health. Nancy, who
is also a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, studied Iridology
under Dr. Bernard Jensen and has spent time at the Optimum
Health Institute learning maximum health benefits. Nancy teaches
our "Live Food" Class. Being a "farm gal" and raising 4
children, she has the ability to have several things going at
the same time (which is very helpful when doing Live Food
presentations). Down-to-Earth, friendly, and helpful are only a
few ways people describe Nancy.

AMY JO HOWARD, N.D.,
C.H.,
is a graduate of the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and
Education as a Certified Naturopath and a Certified
Homeopath. She also has a
Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University in English.
Her love for communication, people, and natural healing led her
to study formally the field of natural health. Amy enjoys
specializing in Reflexology, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Homeopathy,
and Colon Hydrotherapy. A good listener and knowledgeable
instructor, Amy teaches students how to blend such qualities to
enhance skills in this field.

LAURA
JOHNSON, M.T.,
is a graduate of the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and
Education as a Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner. She has
extended her education to include Muscle Release Technique,
specialized chair massage, and additional advanced techniques.
Laura has had her own massage therapy practice since the late
1990s and has built a strong clientele in eastern Michigan.
Students enjoy the extra techniques that she shares from her
years of experience.

ERICA
MARSDEN, N.H.E, M.T.,
has been a Natural Health Educator since 2000; she then decided
to branch out into the field of massage therapy. Because
of her unique background in natural health, Erica's especially
gifted at combining skills of essential oil therapy and energy
work techniques into the field of massage therapy. Erica is a
very popular instructor in the lab classes, encouraging students
to develop their own therapeutic style.

NICOLE PAQUIN, N.D., is a graduate of the
Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education. She also has
a degree in social psychology and psychology from Western
Michigan University. Her interests include teaching Bach Flower
and Essential Oils, and Vaccine and Mercury Poisons. Nicole is
devoted to helping her students understand all aspects of
naturopathy and how they combine into physical and emotional
health.

DIANE SACK, N.D., graduated from
N.I.T.E. as a Naturopathic Therapist and Educator and is a
Doctor of Naturopathy. Diane has a love for healing and also for
decorating. She was led to a very special mentor/teacher, Minnie
Kansman, who received her Feng Shui training directly from
Professor Lin Yun, world renowned author and Feng Shui Master
from China. Professor Lin realized that there was a need for a
school addressing the needs of modern man and his lifestyles.
The principle focus of this school is that intention is the most
powerful tool a person can use to redirect chi (energy) in their
environment and life. Diane will show you how much fun and how
easy it is to bring this ancient 6,000-year-old art of harmony,
healing, and prosperity into your life, and, more importantly,
to understand how it affects health.

DELORES SPENCE, D.N., received her
Doctor of Naturopathy from Trinity School of Natural Health,
Indiana, and her Bachelor of Science from Natural Health
Institute, Missouri. She is a Master of Holistic Health,
Certified Graphoanalyst, and co-founder of Herb Haven in
Hillsdale, Michigan. Delores' interests include Iridology,
Bio-Chemicals, Herbology, Homeopathy, Cell Salts, Evaluation &
Assessment, and Philosophy of Healing. Delores brings a quality
to her classes that no one else can match. Her interest in her
students and in her classes is deep and caring. Delores has
established a formal Herb Garden so that she can recognize the
"signature" of each plant in order to have a better
understanding of its healing powers.

DALE TAMMINGA, B.A., N.H.P.,
received his B.A. in Education from Reformed Bible College in Grand
Rapids , and Natural Health Practitioner diploma from NITE. Dale brings
to the classroom a vibrant enthusiasm for life that will captivate
students’ spirit. His compassion and sense of humor will get each
student involved. His approach includes a variety of ways to engage
students and encourages them to find out what lies within. His
experience as a paramedic awakened within him a need to understand
death as an art rather than a trauma, which led to his passion for
natural health, and the common belief that every aspect of life is
sacred. He is the perfect choice to teach the Death & Dying course.
